MIAMI — Few artists have the nerve to bet everything on a character. Alex Duvall doesn't need nerves, he's got the entire world in his hands. With "Mamacita," the Cuban singer-songwriter from Miami presents not just a song, but a universe. Enter Carlitos: elegant, nostalgic, dangerous. Part Godfather, part Buena Vista, part Miami nocturno.

The official video — a noir short film shot across the city's most iconic corners — features glam, gore, Art Deco lounges, classic cars and South Beach rooftop views. More 1980s film than music video.

"Mamacita" fuses Cuban reparto, bolero and rumba with Afro House in a way no one has dared to before. It's the first and lead single of EP Carlitos, due June 26th. Playlists already circling, haters already looking, critics already waiting.

◆   About the Artist

Alex Duvall is the stage name of Carlos Mérida Rodríguez — Cuban-born, Miami-raised, globally minded. He started writing songs at age 9. By 17, vocal training led him to backing vocalist roles for Chacal, Yakarta and William El Magnífico.

After signing with Planet Récords in 2016, he built a catalog of viral hits: Bombazo, Puchunguita, Dame la Verde and the RIAA-certified "Ella es Trampa." He has toured Mexico, Canada and the United States.

Recently he shared the stage with Marc Anthony, Sergio George, Wisin and Lenier Mesa. Now, he signs as producer and composer with Global Music House. The next chapter starts with Carlitos.
