HE arrived at the studio in Coconut Grove on a Tuesday, at 3 in the morning, with a box of Havana Club, an unknown accordionist, and a handwritten note that simply read: "Tonight we record the one nobody expected."

Sources inside the building say the session lasted until dawn. The accordion could be heard from the parking lot. The box was empty by sunrise.

The track, according to those present, is not included on EP Carlitos. It exists outside the project. Nobody has confirmed whether it will ever be released.

The accordionist has not returned to the studio. His name does not appear on any session log. When asked, the engineer on duty said only: "He played beautifully. That's all I know."
