THE attorney of record for Alex Duvall, Eduardo Ríos of Ríos & Asociados, issued a formal statement this week clarifying that "Carlitos is not a legal entity, carries no prior record, holds no passport, and technically cannot be sued."

The statement was issued following a wave of international press requests attempting to contact "Carlitos" directly — not Alex Duvall — for interviews, licensing agreements, and, according to one outlet, a booking inquiry from a private club in Monaco.

Ríos added: "My client is Alex Duvall. Carlitos is something else." When pressed for clarification on what, exactly, Carlitos is, Ríos declined to answer and closed his briefcase.

Carlitos himself descended the courthouse steps mid-sentence, gesturing through a thicket of microphones without breaking stride, and was inside a waiting vehicle before the last question was asked.

"My client is Alex Duvall.
Carlitos is something else."
